Job Description
Sr Safety officer at Construction site evaluate and monitor health and safety hazards and develop strategies to control risks in the workplace. They inspect construction sites to ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and Implement the Company Safety Standards at project site.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Sound knowledge of all company-established safety standards.
- Monitor and implement all necessary safety rules and work permits at the site.
- Weekly submission of all safety-related documents to Head Office.
- Provide safety training to all staff and labour at the site and office.
- Regular inspections of all safety-related PPEs and other equipment at the site.
- Ensure all necessary display signs are provided and erected at the site.
- Establish necessary safety parks at the site and maintain daily training schedules.
- Promote safe practices at the site.
- Create and enforce safety guidelines and programs.
- Conduct investigations on accidents.
- Ensure all safety reports are submitted to relevant government institutions.
- Respond to workers’ safety concerns.
- Manage all communications with government departments regarding safety.
- Coordinate all issues concerning hazardous materials or waste.
- Assist in the preparation of a construction health and safety plan.
- Attend project planning meetings and collaborate with construction managers.
- Establish and maintain health and safety communication structures.
- Test the effectiveness of site emergency response plans.
Required Candidate profile
- Diploma or Higher Degree in Fire & Safety/ Valid safety Degree or Training.
- 4 to 5 years of work experience in Construction Industry is preferred.
